Peyronie’s Disease is a form of penis disorder that forms solid lumps and plaques in the male reproductive organ. Basically, this develops on the upper area of the penis which is the most common part where it appears. Nonetheless, it can also develop on the lower area of the penis specifically in the folds that comprise of the erectile tissues. The development of the plaque usually starts as a form of inflammation or irritation which can eventually grow into a solid scar. This hardened scarring then decreases the penis’ elasticity in the affected area.

This penis disorder usually occurs in a mild manner which can heal in a span of six to eighteen months even without treatment. In cases like this, the development does not advance and basically just stays in the swelling phase. However, in more serious cases, the disorder can be a permanent one which results to arcing or bending of the penis during erection.
